Apple Music continues to gain subscribers on a regular basis, topping over 30 million with the last check-in from Apple.
But that doesn’t mean the promotional train can come to a stop. Today, Apple released a new promo video showcasing the platform’s content. It’s entitled, “Apple Music Anthem,” and it is just about 40 seconds long. There is a lot going on here, with the Apple Music logo transforming into a variety of different things, including Sia’s hairstyle. There is also flashes of artists, cover art for albums, and snippets of music videos. Apple even manages to promote its Carpool Karaoke series, too.
Here’s the description from Apple:
“Know what’s next. Now. Discover millions of songs, always ad-free with Apple Music.”
Apple Music may be on the fast track with subscribers, which is a feat considering the service does not offer a free tier of streaming music like Spotify, it still has a long way to go. The biggest competitor remains Spotify, which now has 60 million paid subscribers.
This ad doesn’t necessarily show off how Apple Music can stand out against Spotify, but it is flashy, and it does at least present the fact that Apple’s music streaming platform does have sought-after artists, and, maybe rather obliquely, inform viewers that music videos are available on the platform, too.
