Apple to Start Selling Products Officially through Lazada in Six Southeast Asian Countries

Apple has announced a partnership with online retailer Lazada which will give consumers in six Southeast Asian countries peace of mind that they are buying genuine Apple products. Since the Apple Store is not available in most Southeast Asian countries, consumers are always at the risk of getting counterfeit products when buying online.

Apple’s Lazada store will be available in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, with the store being available in Malaysia from Monday. Vietnam will also get the official Apple store on Lazada at a later date. Out of these Southeast nations, Apple has an official online store only in Singapore.

Alibaba-owned Lazada will get stock directly from Apple, said the firm today, after forming an agreement with the Cupertino company. That makes it the only official online seller of Apple’s baubles in the region. Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and other accessories are also available.

Along with Apple products, Apple accessories and Beats headphones will also be available for purchase through the store.

Lazada is very popular in Malaysia and Indonesia and it sells products from over 3,000 companies and 135,000 small businesses.
