If you’ve been wanting to try Tidal, a music streaming platform that prioritizes audio quality (and exclusive content), but haven’t wanted to hand over your credit card information for a free trial, then you’ll have your chance soon.
Announced today, Tidal is going to offer a free trial for its Premium and Hi-Fi services, which will be available for 12 days. It begins on December 25 and runs until January 5. During that time, you will be able to try out either the Premium tier, which offers “standard sound quality,” or the Hi-Fi option, which boasts “lossless High Fidelity sound quality.” That Hi-Fi tier is the primary reason to sign up for Tidal, if you care about audio quality at all.
Tidal won’t be asking for a credit card if you try the service over these 12 days, so you’ll just need an email address to give it a go.
If that wasn’t enough, Tidal will also be offering up exclusive content every day of the 12-day period. That includes interviews, music videos, new video content, and more. Here’s just a brief rundown of what to expect:
- Rae Sremmurd “Sremm Holiday” documentary
- Rapsody “Where Flowers Bloom” documentary
- Exclusive New Year’s Eve playlists from Franz Ferdinand, A$Ap Twelvyy, Eugene Hutz and more
- Latest episode of Song Exploder featuring QuestLove
You can check out the full schedule right here.
Earlier this month a rumor suggested that Tidal only had enough cash on hand to keep the doors open for another six months. It will be interesting to see if this promo can bring over a noteworthy number of new subscribers.
You will be able to try the full Tidal experience in just a few days. Do you plan on taking advantage of the promo?
