Pokémon GO’s Latest Extravaganza Event Kicks Off on March 22

Pokémon GO has managed to remain one of the most popular mobile games out there, and Niantic, the developer behind the title, continues to add new events to keep interest peaked.

As such, the developer has just announced recently that there will be another Extravaganza event landing here soon — Thursday, March 22, in fact. The event will start tomorrow at 1:00 PM PDT, and they say players will have “even more chances” to hatch specific types of Pokémon eggs throughout the duration of the event.

“This year, an even greater variety of Pokémon will be found in 2 km Eggs, and only those Eggs will be available from PokéStops throughout the event! This means that Pokémon that normally hatch from 5 km or 10 km Eggs, such as Wynaut or Ralts, will be found in 2 km Eggs until the event ends on April 2 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. There will also be an increased hatch rate of certain Pokémon, such as Pichu and Togepi.”

On top of that, whenever a trainer does hatch an egg, there will also be a bonus of more Candy included for good measure. This means players will have more Candy to utilize while they are upgrading their new pocket monsters. There will also be double Stardust available while the event is running.

As noted above, the event will end on Monday, April 2, at 1:00 PM PDT. That gives players just over a week to collect all they can during the latest Extravaganza event.

Our Take

The hype for Niantic’s augmented reality game has certainly died down since the game’s debut, but the title itself is still fun to play. The company continues to add Pokémon to the mix, and these events certainly go a long way to bring a nice bonus to the mix.

Are you still playing the game?
