Security researcher Richard Zhu has shared a video in which he demos an iOS 11.4 jailbreak by launching Cydia on what is seemingly an iPhone 7. He even proceeds to launch the Mobile Terminal app in the video and signs into root before executing various other terminal commands.
While the video leaves little doubt about the existence of an iOS 11.4 jailbreak, it is unlikely that Zhu will release it to the public. As a security researcher, he will either end up selling the exploit for a huge sum of money or just keep it with himself for research purposes.

Zhu was the winner of the 2018 edition of Pwn2Own where he found critical vulnerabilities in Microsoft Edge and Firefox for which he was awarded $120,000. So, there’s little reason to believe that the video posted by Zhu is fake, but then again, the chances of him releasing his jailbreak to the public are slim.
Do not upgrade to iOS 11.4 hoping that a jailbreak for it will be released. Instead, stick to iOS 11.3.1 if you want to jailbreak or continue to enjoy your jailbroken iPhone. The release of an iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak from CoolStar based on Ian Beer’s exploit is imminent. And if your iPhone or iPad is already running iOS 11.4, you can follow this simple trick to downgrade it back to iOS 11.3.1.
