Breaking News: Leaked macOS 10.4 Video Reveals Dark Mode, Xcode 10, Video Previews for App Store and More

Xcode 10

Ahead of WWDC 2018, a video has been discovered on Apple’s server which reveals some of the key new features of macOS 10.14. The video shows macOS 10.14 running Xcode 10, Apple News app, and video previews in the Mac App Store.

The Xcode 10 app in the 30 second leaked video has a dark theme, with icons in the dock also having a darker look. This points to Apple possibly introducing a dark theme in macOS 10.14 and perhaps even in iOS 12. macOS already has a dark mode but it is not applied system wide.

The video also shows an Apple News icon in the dock which points to the next release of macOS coming with a native Apple News app.

The video also hints at the new Mac App Store which will debut with video previews and a revamped interface similar to the redesigned App Store which debuted with iOS 11 last year. There’s also a glimpse at the new stock wallpaper which looks a lot like Mojave possibly hinting at the name of macOS 10.14 as well.

Apple will be unveiling macOS 10.14 alongside iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 at its opening keynote of WWDC 2018 on June 4.
