The release of an iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak from the Electra team is imminent. While there has been a delay in its release, the team has at least been clear and upfront about it. Today, Electra team member CoolStar revealed “one of the surprises” that is going to come with the iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak.
In his tweet, CoolStar says that the Electra jailbreak will only show those jailbreak tweaks that are compatible with iOS 11. Dubbed Project Repo Unclutter, it will automatically filter out any incompatible tweaks from showing up in Cydia’s default repositories.
One of the surprises coming with the iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak is dropping early!
Project Repo-unclutter! Packages from BigBoss/Modmyi/Zodttd will be filtered so only ones compatible with iOS 11 show up!

If you are a jailbreak tweak developer, CoolStar recommends adding your jailbreak to the spreadsheet linked above so that it is marked as compatible.
Outdated jailbreak tweaks in the Cydia repo has become a huge issue especially since most developers have abandoned their tweaks and don’t update them for newer releases of iOS. This leads to new and unsuspecting users installing them on an incompatible version of iOS which ends up creating stability issues.
Thus, this move from the Electra jailbreak team will benefit the overall community and help in delivering a better experience to everyone who’s looking to jailbreak their iPhone or iPad.
Are you still eagerly looking forward to an iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak? Or have you given up on jailbreaking and are more excited for iOS 12 release in September?
