Coolstar and the Electra team have released an update for Substitute, the Cydia Substrate alternative and Tweak Injector packages to add support for Safe mode for Electra iOS 11.3.1 Jailbreak.
Safe mode has been a part of jailbreaking for many years, so it is good to see the Electra team adding support for it. Your jailbroken iPhone or iPad enters safe mode to prevent your device from getting into a boot loop situation after installing a problematic or incompatible jailbreak tweak. The safe mode disables jailbreak tweaks so it gives you the opportunity to remove the jailbreak tweak that may be causing the problem.
You will see in the screenshot above when your jailbroken iPhone enters jailbreak mode with the following message:
Springboard ran into a problem and is now in Safe Mode.
Sileo/Tweak Loader did not cause this problem, but rather protected you from it.
If this does not usually happen, you can safely press the button below to go back to normal mode.
If that doesn’t work, please uninstall one of your tweaks through Sileo.
Interestingly, the message makes reference to Sileo, the full Cydia replacement, which hasn’t been released yet. For the time being, you will need to use Cydia to uninstall the problematic jailbreak tweak. After uninstalling the incompatible tweak, you can tap on the respring button to exit the safe mode.
To enable Safe mode on Electra iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak, launch Cydia and install the updates for Substitute and Tweak Injector packages.
We would strongly recommend you to install the updates to enable safe mode on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad. As always, let us know how it goes in the comments.
