A French local radio station citing two unnamed sources claims that Apple will be holding its iPhone event next month on September 12. The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater and start at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The radio station, Europe 1, got the information from two unnamed sources. Previous rumors have also corroborated the same date for Apple to hold its 2018 iPhone unveiling event.
If Apple does indeed plan on holding its iPhone event on September 12 — which is the most likely date, the company should send out media invites for it later this week. Following the September 12 launch event, the 2018 iPhones should go up for pre-order on September 14 before hitting the retail stores a week later on September 21. This assumption is based on the trends that Apple has usually followed with previous iPhone launches.
Apart from its 2018 iPhones which will comprise of a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, a 5.8-inch iPhone X, and the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus, Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 4 and the 2018 iPad Pro lineup at the event. A report from earlier today unveiled that 2018 OLED iPhones are going to be an ‘S’ upgrade and feature faster internals along with an improved camera performance. As for the Apple Watch Series 4, it is expected to sport an edge-to-edge display, while the 2018 iPad Pro will feature slimmer bezels and Face ID.
