Remember the leaked iPhone 4 unit that an Apple employee lost in a bar? Well, something even worse has happened with Google’s upcoming Pixel 3 XL. As per Russian blog Rozetked, a shipment of Pixel 3 XL units fell from a truck and the blog managed to get its hand on one such unit.
So, no more blurry Pixel 3 XL photos. Instead, we now get to see the device in all its glory complete with its retail packaging. The photos give us a close look at the XL sized notch of the Pixel 3 XL which is almost double the height of the iPhone X’s notch.
Apart from the notched display up front, the design of the handset looks largely the same as the Pixel 2 XL. Google seems to have only made a few tweaks here and there. The rear of the handset is made from glass, though it is not evident in the photos. This is because the Pixel 3 XL will feature wireless charging which kind of necessitates the use of a glass back.
The Pixel 3 XL is unlikely to win any awards in the design department, with that XL notch likely going to turn off many prospective buyers. If you hated the notch on the iPhone X, the Pixel 3 XL is definitely not for you. However, if the camera samples are anything to go by, the Pixel 3 XL is once again going to set a new benchmark in terms of camera imaging performance.
Another set of photos of the Pixel 3 XL confirm that it will come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
It is likely that we will see more Pixel 3 XL photos leak over the coming few days and weeks.
