With Apple announcing the Indian pricing for the new iPhone Xs lineup, the company has decided to slash the pricing of the existing iPhones including the iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and the iPhone X.
Here’s the updated pricing for the aforementioned iPhones in India:
iPhone X – ₹91,900 (64GB), ₹1,06,900 (256GB)
iPhone 8 – ₹59,900 (64GB), ₹74,900 (256GB)
iPhone 8 Plus – ₹69,900 (64GB), ₹84,900 (256GB)
iPhone 7 – ₹39,900 (32GB), ₹49,990 (128GB)
iPhone 7 Plus – ₹49,900 (32GB), ₹59,900 (128GB)
iPhone 6s – ₹29,900 (32GB), ₹39,900 (128GB)
iPhone 6s Plus – ₹34,900 (32GB), ₹44,900 (128GB)
The price difference isn’t too great with devices like the iPhone X which is only getting a cut of ₹2300 – 3500 ($50 approx). This is unheard of for a device that is almost a year old in the industry.
It’s notable that the iPhone 6s has been discontinued following the launch of the iPhone Xs. So it seems like Apple will continue to sell the device in the country until existing stocks are exhausted. So the iPhone 6s is now the cheapest iPhone available in the country unless you can manage to get the iPhone SE, which has also reached end-of-life status as of yesterday.
