Apple has started selling refurbished versions of the 2018 9.7-inch iPad through its online store. The refurbished tablet carries a price tag that is around 15 percent lower than a brand new model.
A new 9.7-inch 2018 iPad with 32GB storage retails for $329 but Apple’s refurbished store is selling it for $279 after a $50 discount. Higher storage variants with Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity are carrying discounts of up to $80. Apple first launched the sixth-gen iPad with Apple Pencil support in March this year.
The 2018 iPad is aimed as a laptop replacement for students. It also comes with Apple Pencil support making it an ideal tool for creative students who cannot afford the more expensive iPad Pro.
Apple certifies all the refurbished products that it sells and offers a 1-year warranty on them as well. They also come in a new white box along with the necessary power adapter/cord. One can further extend the warranty on their refurbished iPad using AppleCare+ for up to two years.
While the deal on refurbished iPads are pretty good, you can find a new iPad at almost the same price from other retailers like B&H and MacMall.
