unc0ver Jailbreak Users Can Now Install Sileo Package Manager

Sileo, the full Cydia replacement

Just over two weeks after the first public beta of Sileo was released, the package manager now works with unc0ver jailbreak which is a popular and frequently updated iOS 11 – iOS 11.3.1 (iOS 11.4 beta 3) jailbreak. The original version of Sileo was compatible with Electra jailbreak.

If you have been using unc0ver jailbreak on your iPhone or iPad, you can now use Sileo as your package manager of choice. All you need to do is add a repo from developer Samg and proceed to install Sileo for unc0ver on it. To ensure full compatibility, the unc0ver jailbreak team has also updated the required dependencies.

This is compatible with all versions Sileo works with, and comes in the form of two (well, really three) packages:* Sillyo Installer — downloads and installs Sileo (beta) [unc0ver] to your device *Sileo Compatibility Layer — resolves Cydia “duplicate sources” error, provides package information to Sileo, fixes Sileo’s “Restart SpringBoard” button so that it doesn’t depend on electra’s tweak injector, and fixes a Sileo “Area Denied” issue with ‘giveMeRoot’.

If you end up installing Sileo and are greeted with a white/black screen on the first launch, don’t worry. This is happening because you probably have a huge source list. Wait for sometime and Sileo should start working automatically.

Another important thing to note here is that the Sileo Compatibility layer shares the sources between Cydia and Sileo. This leads to some issues that you must be aware of.

Sileo Compatibility Layer shares your sources between Cydia and Sileo, however, Cydia is unable to remove sources added in Sileo, and Sileo is unable to remove sources added in Cydia. Keep this in mind when you’re trying to remove sources.

If you are running unc0ver jailbreak on your iPhone or iPad and want to use Sileo, simply hit the source link below and follow the steps mentioned.
