Today, Apple officially seeded the second developer beta of tvOS 12.3, macOS Mojave 10.14.5, and watchOS 5.2.1. This update is minor in scale in the grand scheme of things. However, it was confirmed in the first developer beta that Apple is laying the groundwork for the public launch of its revamped TV app. The new app is available in these developer (and public) betas.
To update tvOS’s beta, developers need to have an Xcode profile to install the software on the set-top box. tvOS 12.3 is designed specifically for the fourth- and fifth-generation Apple TV units.
To update macOS to the latest beta, developers simply need to open System Preferences –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
And finally, to update to watchOS 5.2.1, developers need to make sure that the Apple Watch is connected to the iPhone and within range, has at least 50% battery lie, and is connected to the charger.
If it is discovered that any new features have been added to tvOS 12.3, we will update this post accordingly.
