Apple Previews 59 New Emoji Coming to iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and macOS Catalina

On the occasion of World Emoji Day, Apple has previewed all the new emoji coming to íPhones and iPads as a part of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 later this year.
There will be more disability-themed emoji along with a more diverse range of emoji to better represent people of color. All the emojis are based on Unicode 12.0. A number of new emoji were added based on Apple’s recommendation to the consortium.

Following Apple’s proposal to the Unicode Consortium last year to introduce more disability-themed emoji, a new guide dog, an ear with a hearing aid, wheelchairs, a prosthetic arm and a prosthetic leg will be available in the emoji keyboard. Celebrating diversity in all its many forms is integral to Apple’s values and these new options help fill a significant gap in the emoji keyboard.

In total, the company says 59 new emoji and 75 gender variations will debut as a part of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and macOS Catalina this fall.
