In 2018 Hulu had silently removed the 4K support on their streaming service. The 4K support was first introduced in 2016 and allowed Hulu subscribers to watch original content in 4K on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Hulu has now reintroduced 4K streaming but with a twist. The 4K streaming is currently exclusive to Apple TV 4K and the Chromecast Ultra. Hulu didn’t mention whether or not the 4K feature will be released to other streaming sticks or gaming consoles in the near future.
Currently, Hulu’s 4K Ultra HD supports Original programs like The Handmaid’s Tale, Veronica Mars and Culture Shock. That being said Hulu only supports 4K and doesn’t support HDR10 or Dolby Vision. If you own a TV with HDR10 panel then you might notice the difference
Furthermore, the company advises you to connect to an internet network with minimum speeds of 16Mbps. Hulu is often blamed for limited 4K content. Apparently, Netflix offers more than 600 titles in 4K while Amazon Originals also offers its original program in 4K.
Man I just found out that @hulu doesn't have any of their originals in Ultra 4K HD but @netflix does have over 800+ titles guess I know where the majority of my streaming is going ..gotta take advantage of my 4ktv and my XboxOneX..but seriously Hulu get with the times lol

Earlier this year Hulu decreased the subscription charges while Netflix increased the same. As mentioned earlier Netflix offers more of shows in 4K and the service is available across the globe. Meanwhile, Hulu is restricted to the United States and if you are a frequent traveler then Hulu makes very little sense. On the other hand, Hulu offers Live TV, a feature that Netflix lacks.
In the end, it all boils down to personal choice. If you lean towards Live Tv programs then Hulu is likely to be a better bet. However, if you are more into watching originals in 4K and love flexibility then the Netflix takes the lead. We hope that Hulu extends 4K to all of its originals and supports other hardware as well.
