Apple announced 7th Gen iPad with 10.2-inch display earlier this month. The new iPad was scheduled to start shipping from 30th of September. However, Apple now seems to have preponed the iPad shipment date to 25th of September, which is tomorrow.
The new seventh-generation iPad starts shipping on Wednesday, September 25 and will arrive in stores beginning later this week.
The 7th gen iPad is powered by Apple’s 10 Fusion chip which was found inside the iPhone 7 series. Surprisingly, this is the same chip that was also found inside the 6th gen iPad so there is not going to be any performance improvements compared to the previous model. Despite the A10 Fusion chip is very old, Apple says the new iPad offers 2x the performance of the most popular laptop out there.
Other specs of the new iPad remain the same as the model it replaces which includes Touch ID, stereo speakers, and more. Apple has made the new 7th gen iPad with iPadOS 13 in mind. Thanks to iPadOS 13, the 7th gen iPad will offer a better multitasking experience and allow one to run multiple apps side-by-side.
The 7th Gen iPad is priced at $329 and is currently available for preorder on Apple Website and the Apple Store app. It is available in 32GB and 128GB storage variants. As scheduled Apple has released iPadOS for iPad, iPad Pro, and iPad Air. Here is how to download iPadOS and install it on your iPad. Once done you can enjoy new features like Dark Mode, Split View, new Apple Pencil functionality and much more. Are you buying the new iPad? Let us know in the comments below.[via Apple]
