Apple HomePod Will Get Ambient Sound Feature This Fall

Apple has updated its HomePod website with new features that are supposed to arrive this fall. Starting with iOS 13, Siri will start supporting multiple users by recognizing their voice on HomePod. With this feature in place, HomePod will automatically recognize the voice and start playing their personal playlist. Yet another new feature has been added on the HomePod website.

The new feature is called “Ambient Sounds” and is something that HomePod users were requesting for a long time. You will be able to hear the sound of the ocean, forest, birds chirping and rainstorms with this feature. Ambient sounds are often considered to soothe our mind and are helpful in putting us to sleep. Ambient Sounds feature will arrive on HomePod this fall.

Apple is touting ambient sounds like a big feature. Apple Music already offers an exhaustive playlist of ambient noise and HomePod will add a layer of much-needed convenience. However, ambient noise is not the only feature coming to HomePod this year. It is also expected to get music handoff feature that allows you to switch the source of music from your device to HomePod. All you need to do is take your device near to HomePod and a notification asking whether you want to play music on HomePod will appear.

Apple recently launched the new iPad, Apple Watch 5, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, Pro Max, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+. The iOS 13 is coming to iPhone on September 19th alongside watchOS 6. Meanwhile, iPadOS 13 is delayed till September 30 while macOS Catalina will be launched in October.
