The ride for Apple is getting bumpier with new iOS 13 issues popping up every now and then. It began with a bug in iOS 13.1.3 which caused errors in the U1 chip. The only solution involved replacing phones. Now a new issue is breaking wired and wireless charging on iOS 13.1.3.
iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max users are flooding social media channels with their complaints. Tweets to @Applesupport point out that charging issues exist on iOS 13.1.2 and iOS 13.1.3. Apparently iPhone X and iPhone XS also have the issue, however, the number of affected devices is seemingly small.

iPhone users are trying different methods to make the charging work. Some are using different chargers while others are restarting the device. Thankfully the issue is resolved for some after a restart and users are suggesting that the phone needs to be restarted once in few days to avoid the issue. Apple is yet to issue a statement. On a related note, iOS 13 was found to be blocking some 7W chargers and restricting them to 5W.

Apple’s iOS 13 comes laden with new features and is faster than the iOS 12. However, the laundry list of issues is likely to upset users and some might prefer to wait before upgrading to the latest iOS 13. Meantime, Apple is now burdened with the responsibility of ironing the issues in the upcoming iOS 13.2.
