The Unc0ver team is out with another update for their jailbreaking tool with some bug fixes. This release comes hot on the heels of the team updating their tool to add jailbreak support for older iPhones starting from the iPhone 6s to the iPhone X.
The Unc0ver 4.2.1 release primarily fixes issues with Substitute and the additional battery drain introduced in the previous release. The full change-log of the update is as follows:
- Fix a bug that caused unreliability in starting up substitute
- Fix an issue that broke battery settings and caused extra battery drain
If you have already jailbroken your iPhone using Unc0ver, you can simply sideload the latest IPA of the tool and then jailbreak your device again to enjoy all the changes. Alternatively, if your jailbroken iPhone is working just fine, you can just stick with your existing setup.
The Unc0ver team has been working relentlessly over the last few weeks to bring an iOS 13 – iOS 13.3 jailbreak for iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11/Pro. The team then went ahead and improved the reliability of their tool and even added support for older iPhones despite their being already a jailbreaking tool for them.
If you have not already, now is perhaps the perfect time to jump on the iPhone/iOS 13 jailbreaking scene. You can follow our guide to jailbreak your iPhone running iOS 13 – iOS 13.3. Once you are done jailbreaking your device, check out a list of all the compatible jailbreak tweaks for it over here.
