We’re inching towards the launch of the next-generation iPhone SE, and Apple could launch the smartphone sometime at the end of next month. However, a new video shows how the iPhone 9 could look and feel.
There have been various rumors and reports regarding the spiritual successor to the iPhone SE that was released in 2016. It has been widely accepted that its design will be based on the two-year-old iPhone 8, with a few changes here and there, rather than the futuristic iPhone 11.
A new but short hands-on video has surfaced that claims to show the design of the iPhone 9. The device appears to have a front design similar to that of the iPhone 8, featuring a Touch ID button and an LCD screen. The sides, however, resemble that of the iPhone 5S, thanks to a flat design. We don’t think that it’s the real iPhone 9, though.
The phone that you can see in the video appears to have thick bezels above and below the screen. It shows a single rear-facing camera and one front-facing camera, which will most likely be the case. However, the design of the alleged iPhone 9 doesn’t match the design that was showcased by OnLeaks in his 3D renders. OnLeaks has been pretty accurate in the past, so we have reasons to doubt the authenticity of this leak.
Apple could equip the upcoming affordable smartphone with a 4.7-inch LCD screen rather than a 4-inch screen on the iPhone SE. The iPhone 9 leaked design shows that the device will drop support for a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone could be made available in plenty of color options.
The leaked video doesn’t appear to be authentic as some of the design elements don’t match with the previous set of reports. However, it gives us a look at what to expect from the iPhone 9.
We think that the upcoming low-cost iPhone would be too dated in terms of design, featuring a screen with huge bezels at the top and the bottom, something that we’ve not seen on Android phones for three years.
