AllCast is a popular Android app that lets users stream media stored on their phones to their TVs. The developers today launched an iOS version of the app, with support for streaming to Chromecast, Apple TV, Xbox and a number of other devices.

One of the major announcements at WWDC earlier this month was Continuity, a set of features that tightly integrate iOS devices and Macs. These features will reportedly also be available on the Apple TV this fall, extending this tight integration across all products in the Apple ecosystem.
Apple has just added three new channels from the A&E Network to the Apple TV. This includes A&E, the History Channel and Lifetime. Although free previews will be offered to the users, they will require a cable subscription to view full content on these channels. Subscribers of DirecTV, Verizon FiOS and Cablevision Optimum can benefit from this new addition at the moment.
Alongside the iOS 7.1 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, Apple today also released Apple TV 6.1 Software Update, adding the ability to easily hide channels.
