Earlier this year we heard that Apple was working on a new series for the Apple Watch, and that this year’s model would introduce a wearable with a 15 percent bigger screen compared to the previous models.

Soon after Apple sent out its September 12 iPhone event invite, the leaks regarding the company’s hardware announcements at the event started flowing in at full flow. Apart from a leaked iPhone XS marketing image, we also got a clear look at the Apple Watch Series 4 with its edge-to-edge display.
Following Apple’s announcement of an impending iPhone event on September 12, where the company will unveil the iPhone XS lineup (and a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone), the Apple Watch Series 4 will get some time on stage as well.
Apple is expected to take the wraps off the Series 4 Apple Watch in September. Ahead of the big release, the device was assumed to leak out in some form. We have now come across filings on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) describing six new models for the Apple Watch Series 4. Interestingly, the Apple Watch Series 3 was launched in eight variants, for a total of four core versions, so this suggests a cut down of the total models from the lineup.
Early on Tuesday, Apple officially seeded the second developer beta for iOS 12, the latest version of the operating system for Apple’s smartwatch.
