We’ve an update on those statistics. Jay Freeman aka saurik, founder of Cydia has told Forbes that 7 million iOS devices have been jailbroken using evasi0n in four days.
Yesterday, pod2g confirmed that the first beta version of iOS 6.1.1 doesn’t fix the evasi0n jailbreak. However, he had advised jailbreakers from upgrading to iOS 6.1.1 as evasi0n doesn’t jailbreak it yet.
This should come as a relief to jailbreakers. pod2g has just tweeted that iOS 6.1.1 beta that was seeded to developers does not fix the evasi0n jailbreak.
There were some concerns that iOS 6.1.1 beta will fix the hacks used by the evad3rs dev team to prevent users from jailbreaking their iOS device.

Apple has updated its knowledge base article on “Unauthorized modifications of iOS” with minor changes, warning users of the risks associated with jailbreaking. This document was first published a couple of years back, and was most recently updated on the 3rd of February, a day before the release of the evasi0n iOS 6.x jailbreak.
