The release of the Pangu iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak has taken many of us by surprise, including Cydia developers, so even though you may have successfully jailbroken your iOS device it is advisable to proceed with caution as it looks like some of the jailbreak apps and tweaks are not compatible with iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 7.1.2.
iOS 7 Tweaks
Have you missed a phone call when your iPhone is in your pocket because you didn’t hear it ring?
If you’ve, then check out PocketMode 2, which just like its predecessor automatically detects if your iPhone is in your pocket and increases the ringer volume gradually to alert you when you receive a call or text message.
‘Slide to unlock’ has been one of the iconic features of Apple’s iPhone. I can still remember Steve Jobs describing how the iPhone can be unlocked when he unveiled it in January 2007:
iOS 7.1 includes a number of interface refinements, bug fixes, improvements, and new features.
It brought back the month and event list combo view in the Calendar app. The view shows a month view at the top, and an event list corresponding to the selected day at the bottom.
BetterPowerDown is a new jailbreak tweak by CoolStar that brings iOS 7.1 and iOS 6 style ‘slide to power off’ sliders to iOS 7 devices.
Auxo 2, one of the best jailbreak tweaks for iOS 7 has just been updated to add support for iPad.
Auxo 2 is an awesome replacement for the app switcher that has been completely re-imagined for iOS 7, and comes with a number of new features such as Quick Switcher, Multi-Center, Hot Corners and more.
With the release of iOS 6, Apple introduced a handy new feature called Do Not Disturb, and made some enhancements in iOS 7. Sadly, although the feature is much appreciated (as most new features are), Do Not Disturb is horribly under-powered. Basically, the only thing the feature can do is completely turn off notifications completely between certain times.
