As rumored, Apple released a tweaked version of the third generation iPad at its media event in San Jose, California. Contrary to expectations though, Apple surprised us by calling it the fourth generation iPad, rather than calling it an incremental upgrade.
But despite the name, it is essentially a hardware refresh and looks exactly like the new iPad (3rd generation iPad).
A lot of 3rd gen iPad buyers are up in arms against Apple’s decision to release the new 4th gen iPad within a period of 6 months.

The 4th gen iPad comes with an all new A6X chip, a lightning connector, an improved FaceTime camera, and expanded 4G LTE support.
Back in February, iMore had claimed that the next generation iPhone will come with a smaller dock connector.
iMore now claims that the entire new lineup of iOS devices such as the next generation iPhone, iPad mini, next generation iPod touch that will be unveiled at a special media event on September 12th and even the iPad 3 that was launched back in March will come with the new connector.
We reported earlier today that Apple is planning to unveil the highly anticipated ‘iPhone 5′ along with the cheaper and smaller iPad mini, next generation iPod Touch and iPod nano at a special event on September 12th, followed by the release of the new iPhone on September 21st.
