Last year, Apple surprised everyone by not updating the iPad Air 2, which it had initially released in 2014. Instead, the company released the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that was meant to take on the Surface Pro 4 and even replace Ultrabooks for many. Six months after the unveiling of the iPad Pro though, Apple looks all set to unveil the iPad Air 3, which might just be getting a new moniker this year.

It hasn’t been that long since Apple officially sent out invitations for its upcoming March 21 event, and now it’s confirmed people will be able to tune in from outside Cupertino.
As had been previously rumored quite a bit, Apple has just sent out invitations to its latest event, where it’s expected a new iPhone, a new iPad, and new Apple Watch bands will be unveiled.
Apple reportedly launching a 9.7-inch iPad Pro instead of Air 3; Apple Pencil, Smart Connector support possible
Rumor has it that Apple is gearing up to announce a 4-inch iPhone 5se and the iPad Air 3 in March, and the launch date could be in the same month.
If the rumors are to be believed, Apple has a mid-March event planned where it will debut a variety of new products, including a 4-inch iPhone. But one analyst doesn’t think that’s a wise decision.
The iPad Air line didn’t see a new release last year, so for anyone looking forward to the next-generation tablet, things are certainly starting to heat up.
