Powermat is known for its wireless technologies and has played a key role in the development of the technology. Now, the company’s CEO, Elad Dubzinski, in a statement related to the appointment of the Dan Stone as the Chairman of the Board of Powermat has mentioned that wireless charging will be a standard feature on the next iPhone.
At this point, we have heard from multiple sources that the iPhone 8‘s mass production has been delayed and the handset is unlikely to make its way to the market before October-November. Further adding credence to those reports is Nikkei whose report claims that the OLED iPhone 8 will only be available in limited supply starting late October.
With the iPhone 8 just over five months away from its official unveiling, the rumor mill surrounding the handset will start churning out sketchy rumors to gain readers attention. Today, one such rumor has been posted by Chinese tech website Micgadget.com claiming that Apple will launch only two iPhone models this year and not three as reports have pointed out so far.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in his latest note issued to investors note that the mass production of the OLED iPhone 8 will be delayed to October-November. This is a significant delay as Apple usually starts mass producing iPhones in August/September.
Apple’s plans for Touch ID in the upcoming and oft-rumored iPhone 8 seem to be in flux, with the company allegedly working towards one goal, but perhaps being forced to go another route.
One of the biggest storylines from the iPhone 7 launch was that, as had been heavily rumored for months, Apple did indeed remove the 3.5mm headphone jack from the smartphone lineup.
Corroborating previous reports and rumors, Bloomberg reports that Apple is working on the biggest iPhone overhaul on its tenth anniversary.
