Gizmodo just reported that Digg's Kevin Rose provided some details on what to expect in iPhone firmware 3.0 which will be previewed this Tuesday during the live Diggnation show at SXSW in Austin last night.
Kevin Rose was spot on with his predictions about Apple's Special event "Let's Rock" in September last year where Apple had announced complete revamp of the iPod line including second generation iPod Touch and release of iPhone firmware 2.1.

Apple is hosting the event to give a sneak preview of iPhone firmware 3.0, the next major upgrade to the iPhone operating system which we had speculated couple of months back.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Town Hall auditorium on the Apple's campus in Cupertino, CA at 10:00 am local time.

There is an interesting rumor emanating from Macworld 2009, both ZdNet and MacRumors are reporting that the iPhone 3.0 firmware will support quad-core processors.
