
It is now close to two weeks since Apple released the iPhone OS 3.1. and according to a new report published by the mobile advertising network AdMob, only 23% of iPhone users have already upgraded to the new iPhone OS 3.1 based on the ad requests coming from iPhone OS devices.

MMS will finally be available to iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users in a couple of days from now. In preparation for this activation, AT&T today sent out a text message to its customers that they are deactivating the 'View My Message' workaround that let MMS recipients view the message on the 'View My Message' website.

If you are an iPhone 3GS user who has accidentally upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 as you weren’t aware of the warning given by the iPhone Dev Team to avoid upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1 then there is some more bad news.
Folks at BigBoss are reporting that iPhone 3GS users who had accidentally upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 can’t downgrade to iPhone OS 3.0 or iPhone OS 3.0.1.

After months of speculation, AT&T has finally announced that MMS will be available to their iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS customers on September 25.
Unfortunately, there is still no news as to when tethering will be available as there was no mention of it in the press release, so looks like AT&T customers will have to wait even longer for that feature.

Apple has just released iPhone OS 3.0.1 to fix the SMS vulnerability which was revealed by researchers Charlie Miller and Collin Mulliner yesterday at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.
They had claimed that a security vulnerability in the iPhone's SMS
messaging system could allow hackers to in theory "take over
every iPhone in the world".
Apple seems to have realized that it was serious enough to release a patch to fix the SMS vulnerability.
