Lately, rumor mills have been churning a lot of information about iPhone SE 2. Just yesterday, reports mentioned that Apple will release five iPhones in 2021, with one being the iPhone SE2 Plus. Now a Japanese blog claims that Apple might actually name the “iPhone SE 2” as iPhone 9.

Apple’s low-cost iPhone SE is being missed ever since it was discontinued. The report claims that Apple is close to releasing a low-cost iPhone SE2. In a recent note to investors, famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed some numbers regarding iPhone SE2.
Ming-Chi Kuo believes the iPhone SE 2 will go on sale towards the end of March 2020 and enter into mass production in January 2020. The analyst had claimed a similar production and launch timeframe for the iPhone SE 2 previously as well.
In his latest investor note for TF International, Ming-Chi Kuo says that the iPhone SE 2 will feature an improved antenna design. The handset is also slated to go into mass production in early 2020 before it launches at the end of Q1 2020.
Ming-Chi Kuo has detailed his expectations from the iPhone SE 2 after previously claiming that Apple will launch it in the first quarter of 2020.
Reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will launch an updated iPhone SE 2 in the first quarter of 2020. The updated iPhone SE will have a design that’s similar to the iPhone 8, though it will come with faster internals.
The iPhone SE might be old and it is definitely not as powerful as the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max. Yet, it has its own set of fans and user base. No wonder then that the device was sold out within a few hours of going up for sale on Apple’s refurbished store. Maybe Apple does not think that an iPhone SE 2 is needed but that does not mean one cannot imagine how the phone will look.
So far, there have been no concrete leaks in regards to the iPhone SE 2. We have heard from multiple sources that Apple is working on an iPhone SE 2 with an iPhone X-like design. Further fueling the iPhone SE 2 rumors, leaker Sonny Dickson has shared an alleged photo of the screen protector of the handset.
