Report Reveals iPhone Firmware 2.0.2 Addressed Problem with iPhone 3G's Power Control To Reduce Dropped Calls

Apple had issued a brief statement couple of days back to confirm that iPhone firmware 2.0.2 update included changes to fix some issues related to 3G reception.

According to a new report we have some more details about the fix. It appears that iPhone firmware 2.0.2 addressed a problem with the iPhone's power control which was resulting in dropped calls.

Serious Security Flaw Discovered in iPhone Firmware 2.0.2; Temp Fix Available; Permanent Fix On Its Way [Updated]

Gizmodo is reporting that a member of Mac Rumors forums has discovered a major security flaw in the iPhone firmware 2.0.2 that allows someone to access your data and certain iPhone apps even when you have the passcode lock feature turned on.

Pwnage Tool 2.0.3.1 Released to Jailbreak iPhone firmware 2.0.2

The iPhone Dev Team had released an updated version of the QuickPwn tool to jailbreak iPhone running firmware 2.0, 2.0.1 and also 2.0.2. However, it was only available for Windows users.

As promised they have released an updated version of their Pwnage Tool v2.0.3.1 for Mac users which now supports iPhone firmware 2.0.2.

iPhone Firmware 2.0.2 Released to Probably Fix Bugs in iPhone 3G [Updated]

Apple has just released iPhone firmware 2.0.2 to probably fix bugs in iPhone 3G. The latest firmware update is a 248.7 MB file, and you should be able to download it by clicking on the update button in the summary tab in iTunes. The update is available for iPod Touch users as well.

How to Fix "Apple Logo Screen of Death" Problem

It has been almost 2 weeks since Apple released iPhone firmware 2.0.1 primarily for bug fixes but based on Apple Discussions boards and news around the blogosphere; it appears that there is still an issue affecting many users of iPhone firmware 2.0 and iPhone firmware 2.0.1. Its now infamously called the "Apple Logo Screen of Death".
