Games by independent videos have been widely successful, even in the midst of major developer houses. Prominent among these games is Flappy Bird, which caused quite a sensation for being one of the most addictive games, before eventually going off the radar. Apple is now highlighting such apps on the App Store by providing a dedicated ‘Indie Game Showcase’ which highlights games from independent developers.
