Gaming App Developer Sued for Harvesting iPhone Users' Cell Numbers

Storm8, the developer of popular gaming apps like iMobsters and Vampires Live is in the news for all the wrong reasons. 

A case has been filed against the company by Washington resident, Michael Turner for allegedly harvesting cellphone numbers of iPhone users downloading their iPhone apps. 

Apple Approves Rock Band App for iPhone and iPod Touch

Earlier this month, we had written about the impending launch of the popular rhythm game, Rock Band will be coming to the iPhone. 

News is in that Apple has finally approved the app and it is now available on the iPhone App Store. 

Popular Rhythm Game Rock Band Coming To iPhone

Rock Band, the popular rhythm game from EA is now coming to iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is yet to be approved by the Apple and is expected to be available on the App Store this week. 

From what is known, the iPhone game is pretty comprehensive compared to the other rhythm games that are already available on the iPhone, including Tapulous' Tap Tap Revenge. 

iPhone Game - FIFA 10 by EA Sports Available on the App Store

The much awaited iPhone Game FIFA 10 from EA Sports is finally out. Early reviews point to an app that is much better than Real Football  2010 and at least marginally better than X2 Football. 

Most of the modes from the console versions including Tournament, Manager, Penalty, Training, Be A Pro are available on the iPhone app as well.

This was revealed by the developers of the game, Namco Bandai at the Tokya Games Show 2009 where a demo of the upcoming iPhone game, Ace Combat Xi was on display.

Apple had rejected the initial version of C64, a Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone developed by Manomio based on the SDK clause specifically prohibiting interpreted or executable code.

Apple worked with the game developer and finally approved the iPhone game couple of days back, after they removed BASIC (or at least that is what we had thought).

This game has been around for some time but I just downloaded it and liked it so much that I wanted to share it with you folks. Worth mentioning is that this game is available at a discounted price of $.99, which is $9 less compared to its actual price and according to me is a steal.

Apple to Charge for Redownloading iPhone Apps in iPhone OS 3.0?

iPhoneDocked tweeted that he was asked to 'purchase' an app while trying to redownload it. Other developers have also reported similar behavior on iPhone OS 3.0 beta, while trying to redownload apps.

Redownloading iPhone apps is a very common practice among iPhone users, I have deleted and redownloaded iPhone apps many times. The current App Store FAQ states that the user does not have to pay twice for redownloading but the new message could mean that Apple is looking to introduce this change with iPhone OS 3.0.
