There have been rumors and speculations that we may see an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4 shortly after iOS 7 is released. If you did not update your device to iOS 7 in the hopes that a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 will be released soon then we’ve some good news for you.
iH8sn0w, developer of jailbreaking tool such as Sn0wbreeze, has just confirmed in a blog post that a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.4/iOS 6.1.3 is indeed in the works.
Last week, a hacking team called UnthreadedJBÂ appeared out of nowhere to release an untethered jailbreak for older iPhones, iPads and iPod touches running iOS 5.1.1 or earlier. The team behind the jailbreak has now gone onto claim that they have a working untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4 running on newer devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S etc. This is newsworthy, since evasi0n doesnâ€™t work on iOS 6.1.3 and above.
Here’s an interesting development. A new group of hackers called UnthreadedJB have just released a jailbreak for iOS 5.1 called UnthreadedJB.
