Live Photos captured with the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are terrific — except when you share them with someone who doesn’t have an iPhone or supported Apple device. In which case, they’re just still images. But thanks to a new app called Live GIF, you can now turn Live Photos into GIFs anyone can enjoy.
Live Photos are a really nice addition to iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Taking a regular image and animating it, just add a little touch of awesomeness. We’ve already shown you how to take, view, and share Live Photos. And we have also shown you how to convert Live Photos into still images. But now, we are going to go over how to convert a Live Photo into your own internet ready GIF.
Live Photos is a nice feature for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Simply put, the camera records 1.5 seconds before and after you snap a photo. The resulting image can be viewed as an animated Live Photo. Due to the image being combined with a .MOV, the file size is about twice as large as a regular photo. Twice as large means it takes up, twice the amount of space on your phone and when sending that image off. However, you can quickly convert a Live Photo into a regular photo.
We have covered how to take Live Photos and Live Selfies and also let you know that Live Photos aren’t as small as you’d like. Regardless of size, Live Photos are just cool. There is no way around it. And what’s the point of having such a cool feature if you can’t share it with anyone? Well, you definitely can.
Live Photos may have been one of the most talked about features when the new iPhones made their debut. Live Photos is a very simple idea, but turns the way people see and view their photos into something a little bit more interesting. We are going to show you how to take and view your Live Photos.
