While Shortcuts app was released in iOS 12, it’s starting to come of age in iOS 13. It’s now baked into iOS and it supports true, trigger-free automation. Apple has also greatly simplified the process of creating complex shortcuts. This means that Shortcuts can do a lot more now. For example, you can use a shortcut to randomly apply a wallpaper from an album (or an online source) at a tap of a button, or on a daily basis.
A day after Apple’s big “It’s Show Time” event, things are going back to normal, including updates to iOS. And now apps, too.
Apple Music is now more popular than Spotify in the west. That’s because it’s the default. If you want the best over-all music streaming service where it integrates with your music collection, Siri and the OS itself, Apple Music the only option. But that doesn’t make it the best. When it comes to the curation, discovery engine and the UI itself, Spotify for some, is a far superior music streaming service.
Many iPhone and iPad owners are reporting that the Siri Shortcuts app is not working for them. While the Shortcuts app itself is opening and working just fine, users are reporting that they are not able to trigger shortcuts using Siri.
Along with updates to iOS, macOS, and tvOS, Apple also updated the Siri Shortcuts app to bring some more functionality to the mix, along with plenty of bug fixes.
