iPhone Rumors: Leaked iPhone 2.0 photos reveal front facing Camera for iChat, Thinner and Smaller iPhone

Folks the details of the 3G iPhone I had posted today are not the last as folks at CrunchGear have received photos of iPhone 2.0 from a tipster whom they claim is a similar tipster who had sent the photos of a new iPod that we now know as the 3rd generation Nano.

More details and photos of iPhone 2.0 available after the jump.

You can see screenshots of iPhone 2.0 below, it reveals that the iPhone will come in more than just one color, i.e. red (as part of the Product (Red) campaign), grey and black but more importantly it confirms the speculation that the iPhone 2.0 will have front facing camera for iChat.

It will also be thinner than the current model (which is expected) and based on the images it also appears to be smaller which I had mentioned in the post on more 3G iPhone details something none of the blogosphere seems to be talking about.

Folks at CrunchGear have also revealed that the text of the iChat blurb reads as below:

Video just became a little more fun. Start a real time video chat with other AT&T subscribers via 3G networking, or with iChat buddies via WiFi. The video calling revolution has begun.

This means that you will be able to video chat with even your iChat buddies but only over Wi-Fi otherwise only phone to phone. I think if these rumors are indeed true, Apple will be releasing yet another killer application for the iPhone.

The last time round when their tipster had revealed the photos, they were contacted by Apple’s legal team to take them down which has not happened so far. I would have also been more convinced with photos of a 32GB rather than 16GB which is expected.

Anyways only time will tell us if these are rumors or the photos of the iPhone 2.0. I will leave you with the photos of the 3G iPhone below courtesy CruchGear.
