Google Nexus One is coming sooner than we thought. Folks at Engadget have unearthed some interesting information about the upcoming Android 2.1 handset from Google.
The tech specifications of Nexus One looks pretty solid and what's more – the first commercial launch is less than ten days away – starting January 5.
Here is a list of the all important tech specifications that you will want to know. Nexus One comes with a beautiful 3.7" WVGA AMOLED screen and stands tall at 119mm and is 59.8mm wide. At 11.5mm thickness, it is marginally thinner than the iPhone. For a perspective, iPhone 3GS is 115.5mm long, 62.1mm wide and 12.3mm thick. The phone also comes with 4GB microSD that is expandable up to 32GB. About the camera, Google Nexus One has a 5MP camera complete with autofocus and LED flash. Engadget's tipsters have also revealed that Google plans to commercially launch the phone by invitation. But it is not exactly clear how they plan to do it. With Google employees already in posession of Nexus One handsets, it is possible that people from the Android developer community get the first invitations, though that is only our speculation.
