Apple Delivering iPhone 4 One Day Early On June 23rd

iPhone 4 to be delivered on June 23

Some of our readers have informed us that they have received email notifications from Apple stating that their iPhone 4s will be delivered on June 23rd. That's a day early, as the official launch day is June 24th.

The notification follows news from early this week where we had reported that Apple has started shipping iPhone 4 to customers for the launch day.

Back then, we had also pointed out that the delivery date on the shipment notification emails to several customers read June 23 instead of the official June 24 launch day. But we had played down the discrepancy noting that Apple is known to artificially extend the lead-time to match the official launch date.

The latest email is apparently sent out to even those customers whose delivery date was originally set for June 24. In their email, Apple has asked customers who may not be available to receive the order in person to use the alternate pre-sign delivery option on Apple's Order Status website to ensure smooth delivery.

Apple has sent the following email notification, which some of our wonderful readers have been kind enough to forward:

"Dear Apple Store Customer,

You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.

This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.

In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at

The Apple Store Team"

Are you one of the those lucky ones to receive the email from Apple? Tell us in the comments.

Thanks everyone for the tip, you folks are amazing!
