Safari UniBar: Jailbreak Tweak Unifies Address And Search Bar In Mobile Safari Like Google Chrome’s OmniBar

Do you accidentally enter search keywords in the address bar instead of the search bar in Mobile Safari?

You’re not alone. We tend to do it occasionally, probably because we’re so used to the OmniBar in the desktop version of Chrome. Thankfully a jailbreak tweak called Safari UniBar has come to our rescue, it brings the Omnibar to Mobile Safari.

Safari UniBar unifies the address bar and the search bar in Mobile Safari, so you can use it to enter a URL or enter keywords to search using the default search engine.

Here’s a screenshot of the combined address and search bar:

After installing this tweak, you won’t be able to use the keyboard shortcut to enter the domain name extension, which is the only downside of this jailbreak tweak.

So if you can live with that limitation, you can download and install it for free from Cydia. Please note it does not add a icon in the home screen nor does it have any option to configure the tweak.

As always, let us know if you found the jailbreak tweak useful in the comments.
