pod2g expected his jailbreak to work with most iOS 5.1.1 compatible devices as it had worked on iPhone 4 and the new iPad.
But there were some concerns after he revealed that his untethered jailbreak did not work with iPod touch 3G and hence also won’t work with iPhone 3GS.
iPhone 4S iOS 5-1-1 confirmed to work perfect with the upcoming jailbreak
iPad1,1 and iPad2,1 tested with iOS 5.1.1. Untethering worked.
So far, pod2g has tested and confirmed that his untethered jailbreak works on iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPad 1 and it won’t work on iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G and Apple TV 3. He still has to test and confirm if it works with Apple TV 2 and iPod touch 4G.
Chronic Dev team and pod2g have also hinted that the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will be released at the Hack in The Box Security Conference (HITBSecConf), which takes place in Amsterdam from May 21st to May 25th, where they will be presenting.
Chronic Dev team tweeted:
Ready for some jailbreak goodness? We are 🙂 #HITB2012AMS registrations close soon http://conference.hitb.org/hitbsecconf2012ams/register/
pod2g also wrote on his blog:

It’s like something big’s going to happen at HITB related to jailbreaking : look at this.
No more to say 😉
It’s still time to register if you want to be there.
I would be around, and lot of people of the iOS security field !
