iPhone 5 Pre-orders: Delivery Estimates Slip To September 28 On Verizon; AT&T Quoting 14-21 Business Days Shipping Estimate

MacRumors reports that delivery estimates for new iPhone 5 pre-orders have slipped to September 26th28th on Verizon’s website and AT&T’s website is now quoting shipping estimates of 14-21 business days.

iPhone 5 shipping estimates for new pre-orderes slipped to two weeks on Apple’s site just an hour after iPhone 5 pre-orders went live.

Sprint’s website is still listing September 21 as the delivery date for iPhone 5. But you may want to pre-order your iPhone 5 before Sprint also runs out of stock for launch day delivery.

If you haven’t pre-ordered your iPhone 5 on Verizon or AT&T and want to get one on launch day, then will still be able to pick it up from Apple or AT&T and Verizon’s retail store on September 21. They’re expected to open at 8:00 am.

If you thought that Apple won’t sell too many iPhone 5 units, here’s some perspective. It took Apple 22 hours to sell out of the pre-order launch day stock for the iPhone 4S. In case of iPhone 5, it just took only one hour.

Update:

The delivery estimates have now slipped to September 28th on Verizon’s website. Thanks Eric for the tip!

Were you able to pre-order your iPhone 5 for delivery on September 21?
