MacRumors reports that delivery estimates for new iPhone 5 pre-orders have slipped to September
26th28th on Verizon’s website and AT&T’s website is now quoting shipping estimates of 14-21 business days.
iPhone 5 shipping estimates for new pre-orderes slipped to two weeks on Apple’s site just an hour after iPhone 5 pre-orders went live.
Sprint’s website is still listing September 21 as the delivery date for iPhone 5. But you may want to pre-order your iPhone 5 before Sprint also runs out of stock for launch day delivery.
If you haven’t pre-ordered your iPhone 5 on Verizon or AT&T and want to get one on launch day, then will still be able to pick it up from Apple or AT&T and Verizon’s retail store on September 21. They’re expected to open at 8:00 am.
If you thought that Apple won’t sell too many iPhone 5 units, here’s some perspective. It took Apple 22 hours to sell out of the pre-order launch day stock for the iPhone 4S. In case of iPhone 5, it just took only one hour.
The delivery estimates have now slipped to September 28th on Verizon’s website. Thanks Eric for the tip!
