TinyUmbrella Updated to Add Support For iOS 6.0.1 And iPad mini, iPad 4

notcom a.k.a semaphore has released a new version of TinyUmbrella (v6.01.00) to add support for iOS 6.0.1 that was released last week and also to add support for iPad mini and iPad 4 that went on sale on Friday.

TinyUmbrella allows you to take backups of SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) that can be used to downgrade to older iOS versions even after Apple stops signing the iOS firmware file.

semaphore has provided the following details about the latest version of TinyUmbrella:

I’ve updated TU to support iOS 6 and 6.0.1. The new iPad mini and iPad 4 are also supported as well as the new iphone 4 stealth revision.

Sorry for the delay folks. I’m still working on some pretty dang well needed changes to TU. The wait will be worth it…

Even though Apple has made things a lot more complicated when it comes to downgrading to the previous version with the help of SHSH blobs with the release of iOS 6.0, it is always a good practise for jailbreakers to take a backup of the SHSH blobs.

If you need help, then check out our step-by-step guide on how to save SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella.

As always, let us know how it goes.
