When your iPhone is locked, and you double-click the Home button, it gives you quick access to music playback controls from the lock screen. You can forward, rewind or pause a song and also adjust the volume.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of a scrubber bar there is no way to skip to any point in a song. You’ve no choice but to unlock your iPhone, launch the Music app and drag the playhead along the scrubber bar to skip to that point in a song.
If you’ve been missing this functionality on the lock screen then we’ve some good news. A new jailbreak tweak called LSScrubbing adds to scrubber bar to the music playback controls in the lock screen.
After installing the tweak, double-clicking the Home button, should display the scrubber bar along with the options to rewind, play/pause, fast forward a song.
Just like the scrubber bar in the Music app, you can drag the playhead along the scrubber bar on the lock screen to any point in a song.
It supports iOS 5 or above and is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch. Support for the iPad will be added in the future.
LSScrubbing is nifty little jailbreak tweak, which works exactly as advertised. It is available on Cydia for $1.99, which I thought was a little expensive.
You can tap on the download link below to purchase and install it from Cydia.
As always, let us know what you think of the tweak in the comments below.
