It has been widely speculated that Apple will launch a cheaper iPhone later this year.
Folks at Japanese blog Macotakara have got their hands on a case manufactured by MGM, which they claim is for Apple’s lower-cost iPhone.
The case looks like an iPhone 5 case, but Macotakara points out that it is 2mm thicker. It also seems to have rounded edges indicating that it is not meant for the iPhone 5 as it has square edges.

Earlier in the year, iLounge had reported that according to their reliable sources, the low-cost iPhone will have 4-inch screen, like the iPhone 5, a bottom like the 5th generation iPod touch, and a shape that’s most similar to the iPod classic. So based on the photos and the video, the case seems to be for a device that matches that description.
The cheaper iPhone has also been rumored to be available in multiple colors and expected to be priced at $250 – $350. Apple is widely expected to unveil the cheaper iPhone alongside iPhone 5S in September.
