Apple to announce its quarterly earnings for Q4 2013 on October 28

Apple updated its investor website with the date for its next earnings conference call. The Cupertino company confirmed it will announce its Q4 2013 earnings on Monday, October 28th.  The earnings report usually hits the newswire around 4:30PM Eastern, shortly after the stock market stops trading for the day. The conference call to discuss the earnings will begin at 5:00 PM Eastern / 2:00 PM Pacific.

These results should be interesting as they will include the early sales of the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. Though Apple usually doesn’t break down sales per model, the overall iPhone sales figure will give us a glimpse into how both models collectively are doing in the market.

Apple is optimistic about its iPhone sales and has boosted its guidance for the quarter. After it announced sales of 9M iPhones over the launch weekend, Apple CFO Peter Oppenhemier said in a SEC filing that revenue for the current quarter will likely reach the higher end of the company’s previously announced guidance of $34-37 billion. Margins will also jump up to the high end of the forecasted 36-37%.
