Apple to fix iMessage issues in upcoming software update

Having problems sending iMessages in iOS 7? As we reported yesterday, you are not alone as an increasing number of people are reporting issues with both sending and receiving iMessages when using Apple’s latest mobile operating system.

Apple has now acknowledged the issue, and has told Wall Street Journal that the issue will be fixed in an upcoming software update.

“We are aware of an issue that affects a fraction of a percent of our iMessage users, and we will have a fix available in an upcoming software update,” Apple said in a statement. “In the meantime, we encourage any users having problems to reference our troubleshooting documents or contact AppleCare to help resolve their issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes impacted users.”

Earlier today, a report claimed that Apple has seeded iOS 7.0.3 to its employees and carrier partners, so looks like it is meant to fix the iMessage issues, and probably also to fix the bugs reported by users.

The report claimed that iOS 7.0.3 will be released next week.

Are you having problems with iMessage? Let me know in the comments. It seems to be working fine for me.
