On the Tonight Show last night, host Jimmy Fallon along with singer Billy Joel, gave a big endorsement to the iPad, by singing ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ on the show, with an iPad app.

The iPad app is called Loopy HD and it lets you create music by looping sound recordings of singing, beatboxing, or playing an instrument. In the video below, Fallon introduces Joel to the Loopy iPad app, and then starts off by recording the song, bit by bit, with bluetooth speakers.

Here’s the video:

Fallon and Joel’s duet is quite enjoyable. The performance even got a special mention by Tim Cook on Twitter, who called the whole thing “Magical.”

The Loopy HD app is available for $7.99 on the App Store. You can download it from this link.
