If you like jailbreaking your iOS device, you have a chance to meet the hackers who have brought us easy-to-use jailbreak tools, and jailbreak tweaks that unlock the potential of our devices at the WorldWide Jailbreak Convention (WWJC), which will be held in San Francisco next month, on April 12 – 13.
MyGreatFest – the world’s first jailbreak convention took place in London back in September 17th, 2011, and since then it has been a yearly affair.
Members of the jailbreak community such as Jay Freeman aka saurik – founder of Cydia – the installer for jailbreak apps, pod2g – the hacker extraodinaire who needs no introduction, some of our favorite Cydia developers: Ryan Petrich – developer of the some awesome jailbreak tweaks like Activator, Filippo Bigarella — developer of Springtomize, the extremely popular jailbreak tweak that lets you customize almost every aspect of iOS, Thientam Bach aka Surenix – designer and developer of some of our favorite themes such as Aura and Ayecon and many more will be speaking at the event to share some of their work and jailbreak experience.
If you want to learn how to developer jailbreak apps and tweaks, then you’ve an added incentive to attend the conference as the first day will include hands-on workshops on a range of jailbreak related topics including introductions to tweak development and theme design.
Tickets are on sale now, so if you’re going to be in San Francisco at that time and enjoy jailbreaking your iOS device, then book your ticket (link here) while they’re still available to meet some of the folks that have made it possible. The first 200 tickets are available for $30 and $10 for kids under 18.
